Erica Burger, DO, MPH

Erica Burger coaches psychiatrists to help them realize what’s possible and develop an individualized plan to transition into private practice ownership - whether tele, in-person, or a hybrid.

She left corporate health care in early 2021 to start an integrative psychiatry practice in rural Iowa that offers both in-person and video visits.  She trained at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and completed a four-year psychiatry residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.  During her residency, she completed a one-year integrative psychiatry program through the Integrative Psychiatric Institute and additional training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, perinatal psychiatry, and nutritional psychiatry.

She is passionate about finding solutions to physician burnout and helping other physicians living in both rural and urban settings find fulfillment in their work again and build a practice that works for their lives so they can, in return, provide exceptional care for their patients and their communities.
